Oh hey thereee! I’m Marissa - the girly behind the camera based outside of Austin, Texas, living life with my family, and enjoying the simple things in life. I have had a camera in my hand since I was a little kid, but in March of 2023, after I had used up all of my maternity leave and on an avid search of childcare that seemed impossible to come by, I decided to go full time as a wedding and couples digital and film photographer. Film and my family are my greatest loves in life (including my horse Pancho which is the sweetest gray Arabian). My husband Hayden is my biggest supporter, pushing me to go after my dreams and live the life I want to live. I went from stay-at-home mama to a stay-at-home photographer mama!
I love hearing where my couple’s love story started, and I am honored to be a part of each of my couple’s journeys. This life we live is extremely unpredictable, and freezing time in-camera to encapsulate tangible moments and memories of your most heartfelt relationships is one of the most valuable things in this life.

Flora Photo Film is a name that came straight from the heart. As someone who loves capturing the heartfelt moments in every story, I also wanted the same effect in my business. Photographed above is my great-great Tia Flora holding me at two months old on her 100th birthday with my cousin Jocelyn. Great-great Tia Flora was an eccentric woman, marching to the beat of her own drum, and being true to herself. She lived her life being the odd-one out, and as an adult, I admire that and felt that my great-great Tia Flora was a perfect representation of my brand. Here, I don't do things by the book. I march to the beat of my own drum, capturing my client's stories the way they want, no matter how funky or unique they are. So welcome to Flora Photo Film, where I do things differently, offer a unique point of view, and capture the true authenticity of every story I get the honor of capturing.
